Brakeline through the swingarm

What do we need ??
- A Hawk
- +/- 90 cm of steel-braided brakeline (the do-it-yourself kind) or the Goodridge lines with speed-seal hose ends which Steve mentioned.
- A 27 mm wrench to loosen the rear wheel
- a 10 mm drill-bit (shortened would be nice)
- If you want to make it fancy, an extra grommet to guide the brakeline into the swingarm
Let's get to it!!
EXIT:
- chain guard
- brake hose clamp
(just hold it on the original brakeline, for a little while)
Loosen the rear wheel (this way you're able to get your drilling-machine into place)
To locate the spot you have to drill: extend the arc of the original brake-line until it meets the swing-arm in a 90-degrees way. That's the spot.(this should be about 8" from the center of the axle pinch bolt and 1 1/4" from the right edge of the swing-arm)
The size of the hole should be +/- 10 mm
Connect one hose-end to your new line.(this will be the rear one)
Route the line from the back to the front.
On the inside of the fork-part of the swing-arm (that's the front) you find two large grommets.
Take out the left one and cut an X in it. Your brake-line should be able to go through it, but don't make it to big.
Now you can put the other hose-end on it. Either the bold-on-do-it-yourself-type or the Speed-seal.
O.K. !! EXIT the big fat ugly black one and bold on the new shiny skinny one.
Remove the seat end brake-fluid-reservoir-cover.
Bleed the brake.
Re-install the reservoir-cover.
And yer seat
The rear wheel should NOT be forgotten!!
Key in ignition switch..........
GOOOOOOOOOO! ! ! ! !
I think this should be about it?? !
Have Fun
